This notice tells you about cookies and similar storage on Bookeroo, as required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and the UK GDPR. Essential cookies are used because the site cannot sign you in without them. Optional storage is off until you allow it.
Your choice
You have not chosen yet. The banner at the bottom of the site asks you to choose.
Essential cookies
These are set when you sign in. They are not used for advertising. Refusing them would sign you out.
- __Host-grok-auth.session_token keeps you signed in. It lasts until you sign out or the session ends.
- __Host-grok-auth.session_data is a short copy of that sign-in, kept for about five minutes so every page does not have to look the session up again.
- __Host-grok-auth.account_data links the sign-in to your account.
- __Host-grok-auth.dont_remember remembers if you asked not to stay signed in on this browser.
- __Host-grok_gate_session marks a sign-in started from the site host. It is not advertising.
Remembering this choice
The choice “essential only” or “allow optional” is saved in this browser under the name bookeroo.cookie-choice. It is stored on the device, not sent to us as a tracking cookie. It exists only so we do not ask again on every page, and so we do not load YouTube after you have refused it.
Optional: YouTube
If an entertainer has added a show reel, the video is not loaded until you allow optional cookies or press play on that reel. Playback uses youtube-nocookie.com. YouTube may then set its own cookies and will receive your IP address. Those cookies belong to YouTube, not Bookeroo. You can change your mind with the buttons above.
Payments
Card payment happens on Stripe’s own checkout page. Stripe may set cookies on its site while you pay. Bookeroo does not copy those cookies onto this site. Stripe’s notice is on stripe.com.
What we do not use
We do not set advertising cookies, and we do not run a third-party analytics cookie.
More about personal data is in the privacy notice. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
